Irrigation Blowout

We blew out the irrigation system this past Monday. To do this, we connect a large air compressor to the main line at the pump station. Once the system is pressurized, we turn on every head on the property until all of the water is blown out. This prevents frozen water from damaging our pipes and valves over the winter.

We also placed flags marking the sprinkler heads near the walk paths and step cut. This will help us avoid hitting any sprinkler heads when go aerate these areas next week.
