Tree Pruning

We have been making an effort to prune many of the trees that line our fairways. The low branches reduce turf health due to increased shade and decreased air movement. They also provide an unnecessary challenge for golfers. These low limbs must be removed gradually so that the tree's capacity for photosynthesis is not diminished to an extent that would force the tree to compensate with additional sucker growth.
