We have started our greens aerification on the short game green. We are using 1/4" hollow tines. These are the smallest hollow tines that are produced. These tines allow us to create smaller and more numerous holes. The small size of the opening allows the greens to recover much more quickly. As soon as the green is cleaned up, it will be rolled, cups will be changed, and the green will be irrigated. The greens will be playable following the irrigation. We will dry cut the greens the following day which will clean up some of the missed debris and sand and improve playability.
